Rebuilding WNC: Sugar & Snow Gelato Announces Reopening & New Location
Nearly one year after total destruction by Hurricane Helene, Sugar & Snow Gelato announces its re-opening at 146 Roberts Street in the Wyre Building in the upper River Arts District.
Sugar & Snow Gelato is re-opening SOON at a new location: 146 Roberts Street, Suite 102 in the Wyre Building in the upper River Arts District, after losing everything to Hurricane Helene.
“One of the few things spared from the flood was the gelato machine,” said Amy Murashige, owner of Sugar & Snow Gelato. “To be able to reopen and bring that machine to a new location feels like part of the healing we are all doing and an act resilience. I am so grateful to so many people who have made this reopening possible.”
With the reopening, Sugar & Snow Gelato is adding dessert pizza to its menu of handmade gelato flavors. Inspired by Sicily's ice cream sandwich, Sugar & Snow's dessert pizza is made with a sweet brioche pizza dough and features the shop's signature gelato and a variety of dessert toppings.
