• About the Owner

    Amy discovered gelato as a young teenager, when her family lived in southern Italy for two years. She spent those formative years collecting allowance in Lira and spending it on gelato. Those happy memories of taste testing gelato all over Italy inspired Amy to attend the Baking and Pastry Program at Johnson & Wales University, and then to jobs at bakery/gelato shops. Amy moved to Asheville over a decade ago for the hiking, biking, and food culture. She started Sugar & Snow in 2013 so that delicious, handcrafted gelato can fuel your Asheville adventures.
